About This Report

Giving to Punahou 2015 – 2016 recognizes the individuals and organizations that have made a charitable gift to Punahou during the fiscal year, July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016.

This was a milestone year for Punahou. Few schools in Hawai‘i, let alone the country, have the opportunity to celebrate 175 years of educating the community – Punahou is one of them. From our humble beginnings as a single adobe and thatched-roof schoolhouse to being one of the world’s premier K – 12 educational thought leaders today, Punahou’s journey is both epic and exhilarating.

In addition to celebrating our 175th birthday, this year inspired us to reflect on the road ahead. The result of that reflection is a map to our bicentennial and beyond – a set of institutional priorities that define a Punahou education in the 21st century. To this end, in February we launched a comprehensive campaign, Ku‘u Punahou – The Power of Promise. With three areas of focus – People, Place and Purpose – this campaign will marshal the resources necessary to reimagine teaching and learning in the years ahead and provide a lasting foundation for Punahou’s vision through sustained philanthropy and a strong endowment.

Without your support, none of this would be possible. Every person, family, foundation and corporation listed in this report and on our website has enabled our leadership to make bold decisions for the improvement of education. Each gift demonstrates a confidence in our School’s mission that allows Punahou to embrace our future as much as it honors our past.

Our donors are listed in this publication by the School’s giving clubs. You will also find lists of current parent donors, and faculty and staff. Other donor lists, including lists by alumni class, are available in an extended, searchable edition of this publication online.
